Does anyone rebuild Mosley Generators?
I have a 1.5" scale Mosley generator in which the dynamo part appears to be frozen. Is there anyone out there rebuilding these?
Thanks in advance!

The generator shaft (on the right had side of the photo) is frozen and will not rotate. It also appears as if the generator may be rusted into the housing. I would appreciate a source for new bearings.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My first stop for stuff like this is McMaster-Carr. They have some stainless bearings that might be good for this, and some that are more corrosion resistant than standard. You might take a look.

For those with more experience than me out there, is that a Mosley generator or one from LS or a homebuilt using the dummy castings that have been available? That looks like a electric motor in the housing. My understanding is that Mr Mosley used 3 phase rotor / stater.

This one is a Mosley as it's got an MO-6 plate on the top of it.

Not exactly sure what Moseley used if they were stainless and whether they had shields or seals ?
The bearing size is a R 2 and a R3- and the R3 is a flanged bearing
I believe (?) the Barden numbers are SR2ss and SFR156ss for shields , and maybe ff for seals

Thanks;
I may try to overhaul it this winter if I have time...

A very good source of small bearings. Have used them for R/C glow engines.
