Re: 1.5" scale 2-6-0
Well, Guess what?!? I got the build notes from Greg Glos and he is OK with us putting them on the IBLS website along with the drawings. I think these notes would be helpful to someone trying to build the locomotive. I skimmed through them briefly. Greg built his 'Scotty' Mogul over about a 24 month period back in the mid to late 1990s, and he did it under the instruction of Paul F. Brien who made the CAD drawings. Greg typically makes very good notes on all of his builds. He started the build in February 1997 and his last notes are in February 1999.Does anyone know of any books/articles describing building the Scotty 2-6-0
In all, he spent roughly 1,200 hours building the locomotive and tender complete, including the cab, domes, jacket, tender and tender brakes, etc... Not too bad in my opinion.
I will send this to the editor of the IBLS website so that it can be posted.
