Re: Blind drivers
I used that alternative... on the 2nd and 4th drivers as stated above. Hard to get a 7 1/2" gauge locomotive with a 36" rigid wheelbase to turn a curve very well. She does pretty good, though. About 50 ft, or just under it, is the sharpest radius I've ever been around. It made it ok.

Re: Blind drivers
Isn’t the real problem not too sharp a radius in this case but kinked rail at a joint?
If this is the only spot it happens I’d fix the track first.
Just my two cents.

Re: Blind drivers
wow 36 inch rigid wheelbase is extremely long. Even a Texas & pacific 2-10-4 w 63 inch / 8 3/8inch drivers had a 22 FT driver wheel base which would translate to 33 inches in 1.5 scale.
Re: Blind drivers
I would add, the only section that should only come into play is the wheel base between 2 and 4. my ten wheeler has a 20 inch wheel base between 1 and 3 with #2 being blind,, but i am also wondering about the width of the tires currently.
the more i think about it, the more i am thinking my tires are already wider then "normal", not just the blind one..
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.
