Anybody know the history of those parts?
Interesting that there are so many.

I don't know the history, but I know where they came from. The majority of them are from the UK and are for O-gauge, which means they came from Stuart Turner, Bassett-Lowke, Walsall Models, and/or Locosteam. Stuart Turner, Bassett-Lowke, and Locosteam no longer supply wheel castings. Some of the castings appear to be for Ga1 and 2-1/2" ga. The larger wheel castings are also from the UK and could be from any one of several suppliers although they're most likely from Stuart Turner and Walsall. Stuart Turner castings have an "X" plus a number cast into the back. The bronze castings (cylinders, etc) I can't identify either by locomotive or supplier.

This applies to all the auctions for castings which are selling in "Lot #so-and-so"
