A couple of example machines running under Centroid CNC Acorn

Post by Marty_Escarcega »

This one is a Dyna Myte DM2400. It was originally running under Mach3 parallel port, driving a Gecko G540 4 axis stepper driver. It was almost plug and play:

This one was a D&M4 picked up from one of our users on our For sale page. It was nearly complete, I just added the Acorn step and direction motion controller and finished wiring it up:

Just a couple of examples. I am working on a couple more machines to run the Acorn Step/Dir motion controller. Both lathes. (Beta testing on the lathe software is about to begin). One lathe is an EMCOTURN 120, the other is a bit of an interesting one with a long story but essentially it is an Omniturn attachment being put on a very nice Victor Toolroom lathe. The Acorn will be driving DMM Technologies DYN4 AC Servo amplifiers and motors. Stay tuned....

You will love the Centroid, I have a millport full size mill with a centroid M400. It is bullet proof going on 10 years. Also have a Haas CNC lathe with conversational programming bought it new a year ago, The Centroid is much easier to program.
