cncconversionkit.com machines?

Post by Adirondack »

Does anyone have an experience with the machines seen at:

http://www.cncconversionkit.com/categor ... ategory=23

I like what I see, but I'd like to know if there any problems in my choice. I'd really like to know that it would be perfect. :)

Thanks!

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

No experience with them and if you cannot find any online reviews, that is something to consider. As far as X3 milling machines go, I can't find any bad reviews about CNCFUSION kits. As for routers, there are many, many different outfits selling kits, so you should find someone with very good reviews.
Looking at their web page, what troubles me is that I only see for the most part, stock photography, none of their own. Don't see their machines in use cutting, and not much information on the type of ball screws they use. As far as a mill goes, you want no backlash, any kit that has "some" backlash is not worth it as you can't use anything that involves climb milling.
