American Model Engineering
Re: American Model Engineering
Someone who buys the business needs to be able to operate the screw machine. Apparently it's a veteran B&S; setting up these mechanically is likely a disappearing skill.

Loco parts use sprag clutches not ratchets.Gary Armitstead wrote:Again, Loco Parts sells mechanical lubricators in 1.5, 2.0 and 2.0 low profile and 3.0. $160 each and $275 for the 3.0, I'm not affiliated with Loco Parts, just a happy customer.Soot n' Cinders wrote:Wow, I was getting ready to order one of their mechanical lubricators. Guess its time to look for plan B. So sorry to see them go, they were great people to work with.

My best to Ron and Barbara in this time of transition and recovery. A few months back in Live Steam and Outdoor Railroad Magazine, LocoParts released that their 2" mechanical lubricators are now driven by ratchet / paw drive. The roller clutch drive and parts are still available.

Re: American Model Engineering
Locoparts now also has ratchet lubricators. The lubricators Little Engines has are really nice and have sight windows.

Re: American Model Engineering
That is interesting. I know they have had complaints about the clutches. Nice conversion.
