Not all of them remain camelbacks. Ed G's engine is about 25% Mercer A-5a

I think we have 5 so far and hopefully Ben Nixon's grandson as a witness. If i can find a pump for Gil maybe i can persuade him...but that might be tough on both regards.

Some updates,
My dad is steaming up our 0-4-0 this weekend and hopefully it will be good to go for the 50th. I've got storage now at FLLS so I'm hoping to have it there at least Friday and Saturday of the meet, although I'll be there all four days.
1171 is confirmed to be owned by Ed Faller.
I'm still working on seeing if Bobbie and maybe Jason Nixon will come. Does anyone know if any of Elmer Nuskey's family are still involved in steam?
Is everyone that was planning to come still able to? Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh and I found a picture and video of 1174 running at FLLS in 2013 from Dave Bortz on facebook. I'll see if I can share it. He also has talked with Pete Nuskey in recent years. It would be amazing to get a picture of Dave and Glen's engines plus members of all the original families.

if you want iterations of the camel, here is one..

stretch the chassis a bit, add a leading truck and a lot of propane burners;

Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Will have to bring a photo of mine...out of service pending completion of new boiler. Mercer 0-4-0. Need to give it a proper Reading Company number, so the timing of this thread is helpful.

I've hit a streak of good fortune, I have a lot of old photos coming in from Bobbie Ritenburg and Bob Schuler (who's grandfather was a good friend of Gil Ritenburg and Ben Nixon). Gil also said he would be interested in coming to the 50th Anniversary although I'm not sure we can get his engine there (missing a pump). What days are people planning on being there so I can tell him when to come? I was hoping he would bring one of his really cool passenger cars to show off. We will see what he says.

“Charlie Pipes tried to buy one from his friend Larry who bought the castings in the 90's from Dave. Might be Charlie's someday.”

Actually, Charlie told me about this loco, and I ended up with it. I bought it from Larry Kombrink’s estate and brought it to TN. I plan to re-work it into a 2.5” scale 0-4-0t or 0-4-4t loco. It is 7.5” gauge.

FYI - I will be bringing up two kits of available parts to the meet. And an extra couple of saddles and spring kits too. Hope to meet everyone on Friday and Sat.!
