Some say I have about as much emotion as a fish; yet today I feel much melancholy as I think of this man who I only know through his notes to this forum.
Big Dave was generous with his words, his thoughts and suggestions.
His passing is a big loss to us; so I can't even imagine how hard this must be for his family.

Rest in peace Dave; may your works and words keep your memory alive for many years to come.

Where are the young machinists who should be rising up to replace the old? They must be playing with 3D printers and drones. I hope the hobby prospers.

Big Dave posted several times in my build thread...me being fairly green to the nuances of the hobby. It's truly sad that he's gone.
My condolences to the family, RIP Dave.

Seems like every time I have a feeling I should lurk back here & see what's going on, another of the old crowd has passed on...sorry to hear about Big Dave, he was always interesting & humorous. I remember harassing him & Seal Killer about being the same guy... :)
RIP, Dave.

Having this huge platform, there is too much to actually say about our friend . No words speak correctly. I cannot believe the end I don't understand why it happened. These days later, weeks.. There are large footprints of dear Dave which cannot be filled. King Pin to many other things. Gosh please remember and understand.
