Odd runout on mini lathe
Re: Odd runout on mini lathe
Hi, Harold. It looks to me as goblets of grease. There is a shadow presenting a stripe but that isn't how it could have been. Nobody wants to say that they grabbed the bearing by the cage but stuff happens. When we envision a bearing separator tool and that he wants to replace the bearing anyway, it is small loss. I do believe there is some ache about finely ground rollers. Caint say from here. It isn't over yet.

I don't think we can judge the condition of the bearings without seeing them after they've been cleaned up. I would think that there would be some visible distortion if he accidently yanked the cage off.
If the manufacturer is willing to take his word that it just fell apart so am I.

I'm seeing clear lubricant unevenly covering the rollers.
