CNJ DRX 6-4-2000

Post by rwheller »

I'm doing some "what if" thinking. Does anyone know a source for Baldwin construction plans for the CNJ DRX 6-4-2000 double cab locomotive? It would be a very unique project locomotive. All I've been able to find are some limited view photographs.

My word, what an interesting build that would be!

BLW build these under Sales Order #47513

Providing this SO number to Kurt should move your search along nicely. They should have a specifications book and will probably have some drawings.

If the trucks are the same A-1-A trucks that were used under the Alco PA's, 186 inch wheel base, contact me. If they are 184 inches, they are probably the same as went under the DL-109.

The PA State Museum at Strasburg has the BLW photo collection. If other views exist, these should have numbers near the 13,298 number on the above builders photo.
