Eleven Steps to a More Interesting Christmas

Post by rmac »

1. Invite some people over for a steak dinner.

2. Ask them how they like their meat done, and get replies as
follows:

2 Well Done
4 Medium Rare
1 Rare

3. Start a fire in the BBQ and wait for the charcoal to get
going.

4. Identify and start cooking that portion of the meat
destined for "well done" status. Leave the remaining
steaks on a table by the BBQ.

5. Observe the beginnings of a grease fire and go back into
the house to get a spray bottle.

6. Return to the BBQ and discover that one of the uncooked
steaks is missing from the table.

7. Observe that one of the dogs who is normally very
interested in the entire BBQ process has elected to
relocate in order to independently investigate the
qualities of completely uncooked beef.

8. Segregate steak from dog.

9. Dunk in pool (steak, not dog) to remove leaves and dirt.

10. Reseason with garlic salt and black pepper.

11. Cook normally and serve, explaining the chain of custody
issues encountered during preparation.

At step #5 I already thought of the dog problem. I have one of them.

I used to have a Jack Russel that could make a 8 oz steak disappear in 20 seconds.

RIP chloe.
