My pictures will not post says file to large.?????
Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
I'm assuming that your pictures aren't actually too large. They certainly can be. If they're not, the board software was just updated with considerable effort being expended by the owner of the board. He is working through problems that have arisen, including issues with posting pictures. If yours aren't larger than 1024 x 768 and are under 1 mb in size, the board may be the problem. If they are not, they may be the problem. To determine which is the problem, you'll have to provide more information about what you're trying to do before a reasonable answer can be provided.
Don't make the mistake of trying to post pictures taken with a cell phone that are huge in both pixel and file size. They are rejected for sure.

Hi Harold, I have not changed any thing on my end. Pictures are and have been taken with cell phone. Thanks Jim
Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
I too am using the same cell phone method and have the same issue. I have also tried to use pictures I have already posted on the forum.
Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
Thanks for your combined comments, but neither of you have provided any useful information. Without doing so, I have nothing to go on. Only you can determine if the pictures you are trying to post are too large. The recent update in the software may be limiting images and their file sizes beyond that which was controlled by the old software. As I don't have any answers for you, I've brought this to the attention of the owner. Perhaps he can help.

Maybe I'm on track again with the pictures.
Dropped the brakes removed the spring rigging and removed the front axle. I noticed Marty built an axle drop section on his stand. I know now why. Jim

Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
Though I would have to fab a stand to press the pins but the front boiler section worked perfectly. Taped up the j box to keep the bearings clean and some duct tape on the drivers. The first one was short stroked with the hacksawed, the second I used the doall once I realized it would fit. Much faster. Fixed some issues and painted the cylinder block. One step back but all is good now. Jim

Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
Coming along, keep up the good work. When I built my stand the first thought was to add a drop section. It was actually a lot of extra work as it required an extra leg setup on each side of it. I am glad I did it.
Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
Steve i looked back at your post and see the drop section that I missed before. I think i might have to build a height adjustable stand. Maybe someone has pictures or suggestions for that. On this reassembly hopefully will be the last for the frame but I did machine 1/8" off the front truck pivot pin plate to let the cylinders sit harder on the drivers. Jim

I have used the lift on multiple occasions. Having the ability to get the Loco at the proper level makes it much more enjoyable working on it. I was fortunate enough to already have the lift so that was a plus during the stand planning stage. I have not used the drop section as of yet however when the loco is complete turning it over is out of the question lol

I finally got a couple of reverse acting spring return cylinders and finished the brakes other than paint and finish assembly. Jim
