WTB Gene Allen single cylinder 1.5 scale water pump drawing
Looking for a copy of the long ago popular Gene Allen single cylinder 1.5 scale water pump drawing sheet. Almost had the pump finished years ago. Prints borrowed and never returned. Time to finish it up but hard to do without drawings.

Wouldn’t Allen Models have them as well?

No - they were copies of Van Brocklin drawings. When we owned Allen Models they were conveyed to Friends Models.

Robert, did you get the prints you needed?
Re: WTB Gene Allen single cylinder 1.5 scale water pump drawing
JD Johnson, yes I did get the prints, unfortunately still no improvement over my originals that were difficult to impossible to read in certain areas. I am sure the originals were well done long ago, but way too many copy machines down the road has not been real pretty to say the least. It was easy to see why Marty disposed of the drawings and Steve Alley certainly did not miss much at all.
If someone has redrawn them back to original with a CAD program, they would be worth the investment and would allow a builder to reach completion. Until a redraw in CAD is completed, not worth the trouble or money based on what I have seen.
If the drawings have been redrawn in CAD, please let us know.

Doesn't John k at Friends' have usable / readable drawings?
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: WTB Gene Allen single cylinder 1.5 scale water pump drawing
I'm curious why there's a restriction to CAD drawings. Seems to me that if they have been redrawn by any means and are legible, it shouldn't make much difference. What am I missing?

Agreed...seems that the world has forgotten term 'draftsman'
I have an original set of drawings that were from blueprints in the 1980s and they are very legible
Obviously done ink on vellum
Everyone wants CADfiles so that they can pass them around electronically.

Drawing them in CAD is one thing. Putting those files on line is another. One hobby supplier once told me that his main income was from the drawings, not the castings. Another supplier mentioned to me about putting his drawings on line and I warned him not to because once someone posts a drawing on line, it's gone forever. I advised him he should only sell prints of those drawings. Drawings are copyright and can be an important income for those who struggle to supply us.

Which is exactly why I NEVER supply CAD files to anyone. and people ask many times a year.
Which is why I ask:
Does not Friends models have drawings available?
