Cup chuck

Post by mikechoochoo »

I picked this collet cup chuck up with some other things at an auction. It fits a spindle with 1x10 threads. It’s unmarked, any idea who made it. Just looking for info on it.. I may sell it as I don’t have a machine that it fits.

If I remember correctly(?), the 1" x 10 chuck thread is standard on Craftsman 12" x ??" lathes.
That implies a pretty large audience that might like to use such a chuck.

Oops. Now I remember that my Atlas lathe also have a 1-1/2" - 8 tip thread. I still have a tap for that, too.

I shouldn't have let my last birthday occur...

It's better that it occurred than it didn't.
