Of course I couldn’t resist. Bet I’m not the first to take this picture over the years.

Union Link in process. The temperature was mid 80’s today in South Georgia. Comparatively it felt like fall finally. Fun working the mill without sweating. Everything went smooth. As usual I’m making both of them “back to back” for speed and ease of holding. My holes turned out much better today. I took my time enlarging the holes and had the proper reamers.

These Union links have quite a few operations that are required to machine them. I had to stop and perform a few side operations today. Two of them were making the proper size adapters to machine the end radius’s on the rotary table. Maybe tomorrow will be the day I finish them!

Sometimes I think the whole hobby is making fixtures. But in order to make the fixture, you need a fixture which you can make, but to make that fixture you need a tool you don't have, but you can make one of those, but....

This is why I love CNC. Create a drawing in Mastercam, convert to a program, create tool paths and push start lol.

And hold the part with super glue to the table?
One still needs a manufacturing process, even if tool path generation is expedited.

Too many things going on to bother listing them.
