Where can I find plans for a speeder?

Where can I find plans for a speeder?
I'd like to build a small battery powered speeder. The type with two axles, that you sit on top of and go around the track. I see a ton of these out there does anybody have a good set of plans for one of them? Or know a website that has them on there?

There was an article in Modeltec magazine, I want to say in the '80s with drawings. I don't know where you might find it now though.

You might be thinking of the Modeltec August 1984 issue, it has a nice picture of a speeder on the front page titled "Build this FAIRMONT SECTION CAR". You can find them on ebay occasionally, here's a listing for the complete 1984 year (no connection to the listing):Erskine Tramway wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:01 am There was an article in Modeltec magazine, I want to say in the '80s with drawings. It's a shame this web page didn't get completely archived with all the drawings and photos. There is some drawings of the basic frame and sides in the PDF format that I could see and that was it. Dad built one from it...used a scooter motor and controller.
From the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20080703174 ... t-putt.htm
Unfortunately dad had a friend weld it all up for him and they didn't keep everything square so it tracked right turns great, but always wanted to climb the rails to the left. Took me a while to figure why, but figured best bet was to re-cycle the components and build fresh. I'm not a welder either, so took it all apart and build one by bolting the frames together, I used 3/4" plywood for the sides and went with a three point suspension where the back wheels are rigid and motor is right above it, and the front wheel pivots side to side. It is a little rough riding with 3 point suspension but it works, and the Kids love (and so does my dad!)
I wish I would have archived all the drawings and photos and build another one from the plans that Bill put together.

There is a fairly detailed speeder build on Chaski
