Post by Boneyard51 »

I have a Clausing 8520 mill that fell over and bent the dials on the table lift and the in and out on the cross slide! Anyone have so parts for this machine?

Probably more than the dials.

I would offer that the cross screw itself and lift shaft (crank to gear) are bent.

The lift shaft is a straightforward turning project.

The cross screw might be repaired by cutting off the bent end and stubbing a new section on it.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Yep, I am contacting a shaft straighting company as we speak. I have not taken it apart , yet to inspect and find out all the damage. When the seller did this, I was just sick and just put it in the corner. But I guess twenty years is enough time to get over it! lol
