Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
I have limited supply of Okadee blow down valves.
These valves were produced by Barry Hauge.
I have been working with David Bortz to try to bring back the SuperScale product line.
Regards, Howard Gorin

Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
Whenever I see "Superscale Locomotive" I visualize a Yellowstone built 4:1 instead of 1:4.
Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
I can imagine after 2020, this may be a stretch but how are you and David coming along with the Superscale return? I remember the beauty of the parts in the catalog and so hope when it does return I’ll eventually have money to purchase and add them to my loco I’ll be building over the next several years. Hope all is well with everyone btw.
Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
Jen Carey has not been on Chaski for nearly three years. No one seems to know what became of the deal to sell Superscale.

David Bortz has Superscale now and has for about 2 years ?
Easy to deal with and still the same great products .

I didn't get the memo. I would have though Jen Carey would have announced something here.Chris Hollands wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 5:03 pm David Bortz has Superscale now and has for about 2 years ?

Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
In January I asked Dave what he had back in production and he said...
I am trying to bring it all back... but so far have these items...
Valves
Fittings
Junction boxes
brake beams, hangers and shoes
Glad hands
Safety valves
Blow down valves
Economy injectors
Steps
Diffusers
Some Mikado parts...
Flexible stay bolt caps
Soon to have both Hancock and Nathan check valves, cylinder drains, three types of couplers.
Please email me at dsbortz@comcast.net

Re: Future of Superscale Locomotive
For what it is worth, I am producing the Mosley headlight that Barry sold at one time.
I am also bringing back the locomotive bell that Barry made.
I am casting the bell in bell bronze, not silicon bronze.
The top mount style previously sold by Rod Johnson in Canada, will be produced with a different
hanger, as it was previously sold the hanger held the bell too high in the harp.
It did not look right.
The front mounting will be unchanged.
