Working on prototyping the 1.6" and 2.5" safety valves and need to get some solid numbers of interested folks so I can plan for how many to make.
These will be unlike anything offered before. All the internal components (including the valve seat) will be 17-4ph stainless steel. The valve and valve seat will be hardened for extra long life.
What usually kills these valves is steam cutting between the valve and valve seat. Once those surfaces start to wear, the valve will never work the same ever again. No amount of cleaning or adjustment will fix it. These valves are designed to significantly outlast other offerings.

Re: 1.6" and 2.5" Safety valves?
How big is the 2.5in compared to the 1.6in? Though I put my name on the list anyway, those are nice looking safeties and the added wear resistance of the 17-4PH sounds really nice.

Re: 1.6" and 2.5" Safety valves?
A few answers to questions that have been asked elsewhere:
- These will be offered up to 160psi max.
- 1/8" and 1/4" NPT adapters will be available for 1.6".
- 1/4" and 3/8" NPT for 2.5" scale.
- The 1.6" valve will be approximate in flowrate to SuperScale
- The 2.5" valve will be approximately 50% more flowrate than the 1.6" version
- I may be able to offer a 2.5" body with 1.6" internals for those who don't want the additional flow rate.
Maybe this will help make the size difference clearer:
