Stuart Turner 5A drawings

Post by Marty_Knox »

I am looking for drawings for a Stuart Turner 5A engine. I am rebuilding a Shay engine that uses 3 - 5A cylinders.
The links are made from brass and are pretty worn. Even if I can get just the link and die block drawing it would help.

Marty,
I'm out of town until Monday but I'll check my collection then to see if I have a #5 drawing.

I have a complete set of 5A drawings including pump and reversing gear. I'll have to scan them into sections as the pages are larger than my scanner.

If you could scan just the valves and valve gear gear that would be a big help!

I sent you a PM with a link to the drawings. Let me know if you need scans of additional parts.

I'm sorry, but I can't open your PM. I got a message saying I can't look at messages on hold.

That's due to your inbox having more messages than are permitted (which numbers 350 messages). All you have to do to view those not displayed is to delete (or move one or more to Saved Messages), then you can select the option to view messages on hold. You must eliminate as many old messages as you have messages on hold. The best thing you can do is delete messages that have no value at this point in time, creating a bit of a buffer so you don't have to go through this operation every time you receive a new PM.
