I was wondering the same thing... I guessed it meant there was a video reference in the post someplace, but I don't see one in that particular posting... sooooo....????

The name of the icon is "radioactive.gif"; but gives no insight how it is applied.

I always thought of this icon:
as meaning "hot" because it looks like a flame. It seems to appear when there is a lot of activity in a thread. I've never bothered to investigate what "a lot of" means.
Anyway, IIRC the "radioactive" icon showed up immediately when the thread mentioned above was created. The phpBB manual doesn't say anything about any of these icons. It's a mystery.
