Good things happen. The best revenge is to do your job well, and enjoy it. Good luck UP, run safe.

Re: 844 scheduled to return to service 7/23.

Time will tell. I suspect if they stick their necks out to give dates of a run, they're pretty serious. I sincerely wish the best for the entire UP team, and hope everyone gets to see a great run.

I saw/read about this. Nice to read good news. Let's hope all goes well. The 844 is quite a big part of UP and American history.

Re: BNSF CWR MOW train from Route 66 near Grants, NM.

Photo #1 is looking eastbound, photo #2 westbound towards Grants, NM. It's the first exit heading west on I-40 that will take you into Grants, NM. here's a map image. This stretch of Route 66 continues west of Thoreau, NM. It's a nice drive! It ends at a place called "Continental Divide" I...

Route 66 in Claremore, OK.

Visited a friend here, and hiked a bit. Old 66 follows along the BNSF through town.

#1 Grain elevator along the BNSF. 66 is off to the right.

#2 Historic Route 66 sign. Further up the road, the UP crosses at grade.

BNSF CWR MOW train from Route 66 near Grants, NM.

Driving back to Arizona, I stayed over night at the Sky City Casino and Hotel. Not a bad place. Won my money back before I left, so I stayed for free. My plan was to scope out photo locations along old Route 66. #1 Ferromex SD70ACe 4068 is leading a CWR train. The 66 overpass allows good sun much of...

Re: BNSF Super Bowl office car special

Thanks Mark. I presume this train was mostly empty. Maybe some VIPs on board. However this was eight days before the game. Good luck with your Route 66 trip! I drove a few miles recently near Claremore, OK and near Grants, NM. I'll post a couple photos in the Roundhouse discussion board. Al Seever P...

BNSF Super Bowl office car special

This past Saturday at Maine, AZ. 18 cars long. Got lucky here. I was stuck in traffic in Flagstaff when it rolled through town. Drove the 19 miles to Maine, and here ya go. Just learning to shoot in RAW, and edit properly.

Re: Couple images from Flagstaff

Thanks Mark! My lens goes up to 30X, so it really zooms in. The two mainline tracks have a speed limit of 35mph IIRC. I'm sure the yard tracks are less. I do enjoy seeing the track structure over a distance like this.

Couple images from Flagstaff

Rented a 2016 Ford Mustang convertible for a weekend from Hertz. As luck had it, the weather was pretty darn nice. The air warms fast at 7,000' with the strong sun. Did some top down driving, and caught some BNSF action. #1 GE demonstrator 2036 leads a westbound through downtown Flagstaff. Route 66 ...
