Will this E-unit help the Friends open up new excursion markets?

I don't know any more about it than you or anyone else who isn't named Steve Sandberg.
However, my fertile mind sees a work-around with the costly PTC. I sort of foresee this diesel locomotive having a PTC controller that would treat the steam engine braking the same as the rest of the train.
But that's just me dreaming. Don't take it seriously.

I was actually kinda thinking along the same lines, Mark. But being nowhere as experienced as others on this board, chose not to speak up.

Not to worry about not knowing this or that, I'm only giving out a wild guess myself. I would like to see that though, because then we could run the steam engine on more tracks than just the TC&W.
