Hi. Maybe this is a good place to post what our museums/tourist railroads/ other rail type operations are opening, and any changes in operations for 2019.

I'll start. Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA is open year round, but this weekend, beginning April 20, we start our 33rd (?) year of train operations under the auspices of the National Park Service. Since we have a contract signed with the Delaware Lackawanna RR on where we can go, we begin the season April 20 with four trips called the Scranton Limited. Departing from the roundhouse, we take a 3-mile trip through the yard and a portion of Downtown Scranton. Tickets are $5.00. On Sunday, April 21, the same trip is extended by about 2 miles to reach Nay Aug Park. These trips will include steam power. Baldwin Loco Works 0-6-0 no. 26 holds down this task. We are also introducing a new junior ranger badge for national Park week, a collectible trading card featuring Nickel Plate Road GP9 no 514, and a new exhibit in the museum complex by local painter and sculptor known as WYSO. No. 514 is also back in service, after last running in December 2014.

The following week, the Electric City Trolley Station & Museum begins their season of 10-mile round trip runs to Moosic, with a stop at "The Trolley Works" which is their restoration barn.
