CP 2816 is returning to steam for just one time to make a holiday train video.

That's good news considering what's happening in the USA.
I haven't heard about any steam running this past year other than the Union Pacific.
I also think mostly the loss of steam is because of..... you know it for sure; COCID 19

I sure wish Canadian Pacific would bring 2816 back for good. I saw her a few times when she ventured south of the border. Here is "The Empress" rolling through Loretto, Minnesota, with an excursion on September 8, 2007.

I had the pleasure of enjoying 2816 back in Minnesota in 2004. 261 was out, and 2816 arrived with Doyle McCormack running her. Lots of fun riding behind them and chasing them.
