Tool Cars

Postby Fitz » Sat Dec 23, 2006 7:39 pm

On some other site a few weeks ago I saw a thread on tool cars, so went looking for this photo I remember taking in 261's tool car back in 2004 during the Grand Excursion. I couldn't find it, and now can't find the original discussion. Anyway, thought I'd start it here. I recognize the one guy, Brent, but am having trouble with the other's identity. Heck, his overalls aren't even dirty. Any of you 261 crew have a name for him?

Hi Fitz
It's hard to tell with the head looking down, but it looks to me, for all the world, to be Tim O'neill.

I have met Tim on several occasions and I do not believe this to be him. Whoever this is does not appear to work very much as evidenced by the spotless coveralls. In fact, I would go so far as to guess that this person is too clean to have been working on a steam engine.

It could be Santa Claus... But then Santa exists and this guy just might be a figment of our imagination......

Merry Christmas!

After looking the photo carefully, I noticed a clue to this person's identity.
He had something in his hands, but it is not:

1-A can of JOLT.

2-A grease gun of any kind.

So by deduction, it could not be Mark D.
Maybe somebody new to the crew, but being next to me I should be able to remember them.

Merry Christmas All.

Ok, I know who the unidentified person in Fitz's photo above is. Not sure of his real name, but he's called all sorts of things that aren't printable.
But what I would like to know is, who the heck is this guy?
Not a regular in the tool car, but appears to be in the tool car.

Boy, he sure doesn't have any grease under his fingernails, does he? Probably had a manicure before boarding the tool car. Sort of resembles Tim O.

Well I guess the cat's out of the bag. I s'pose everyone knows the first photo is moi and the second photo is that of the poster of the first.
Photos taken in 2004 during the Grand Excursion series of excursions.
I didn't know my son watches this board, but that was his post up there a few.
